My Perfect Date!

Lights Camera Action….!!!

No, I am not going to begin to narrate any movie out here. I am simply telling the name of the restaurant where I had enjoyed my perfect date.

I call it perfect for it was not the usual kind; it was special, it was a family dinner date.

When my mother had asked me to plan something unique for daddy’s birthday, the first thing that clicked my mind was my father has always loved family time and I wanted to gift him that.

Booking a candle light dinner with family was the idea of my gift to him and a perfect date to me. 😀

Talking about the dinner date, reminds me of the funniest thing we younger ones in the family did throughout the time. We had laughed at that crazy menu card which was total Bolly-wood style. My favorite of them was “praan jaye par paneer na jaye!”   And to top on that my choice of juice was served in a silly test tube shaped huge glass. It all felt to be a dedication to our most-of-the-time filmy family.

Although genuinely the food was good and thanks to our attendant, Hira lal, he had served us really nice. I personally would never forget him, because he is the one, I am supposed to give the credit for making our evening all more perfect by his non-stop service without any complaints.

I admit we were crazy customers in the restaurants to the night. Somehow we had controlled our laughter when we realized our cheeks were aching. And not to forget, I made sure to capture every moment in my camera from the cake cutting to eatables till we gave different poses; sweet and funny too.

His shining eyes and wide smile said it all. My father loved the idea and we enjoyed it to the best. ❤ ❤

WO(MEN) DAY!

We cry; you forget your happiness. We laugh; you don’t bother your pains.

It’s Women’s Day tomorrow!

We women expect our men to do something sweet for us and Indeed these darlings put their efforts to make their loving; wife, daughter, sister, granny feel special. Not just on this day, but almost every day.

Men are generally more Independent but they let their girl know, they still need them, at every step. Rather they never fail to make us an important part of their lives. I personally feel we girls should thank our wonderful men on Women’s Day.

Because it’s you who… You give us the strength, when we are at worst situation. You care for us, even when we are in bad mood. You protect us, although you might be angry at us. You deny acting stupid, yet accompany us in crazy things. You don’t talk much, instead be a patient listener. You accept we are silly, still you never complaint us for being that. You go beyond your limits to make us smile. You simplify our problems helping us become a tough woman in this harsh world.

Indeed, you make us feel beautiful, making us realise we are maybe imperfect, yet perfect for you.

We girls say we love you more. And you never object on that. You let us believe the same. But truly, you might not say, we know it. It’s you who love us more. Totally!

So, let him know, you are proud to be his. And on the day wish all those handsome men in our lives, A very Happy ‘your’ Women day. Certainly, a woman can’t celebrate the day without her man. Let them know, we are proud to have them in our lives.

A bottle of Perfume

11 years old when I was, being a little gal, I adored sweet fragrances of perfume. Whenever I visited to nearby marketplace, I wanted one of those spraying bottles, which spread magic in air.

“Didi let’s try that, they smell wonderful.” I said delightedly pointing at the shop.  My elder sister was occupied in searching out for other stuffs and casually refused to accompany me. I too ignored the interest in visiting the shop alone.

After few days, it was the day I as a kid used to wait excitedly for. My birthday, I used to remind my family each day of its arrival. I was joyfully waiting for my surprise gift.  I loved gifts, even the tiniest one. In fact not just in childhood, I still do love them. My sister had helped me get dressed in my favourite pink new fancy Capri and paired pink top. She tied a pony too with my favourite pink band. She had gifted me a sweet card decorated extremely beautifully, along with a little white teddy. I hadn’t missed to hug him umpteenth time that day. My mom had brought blocks game for me, which I admired thankfully.

It was then, when I was occupied in playing with my new blocks, trying to attach them to make a house; my dad entered in my room. I looked up to watch him holding a box. It was a gift wrap. My eyes glint with shine of happiness. I always knew he brings me the best of gifts for me. The ones which might not be pricy but do touch my heart. They attach me strongly with him.

Happily I put my efforts to open the wrapped box. My happiness had no bounds when I saw a big glass box, in which was placed a perfume bottle. It was special. It was jasmine. It was wonderful.

I hugged my dad thanking him as many times I could in one breathe. He had blessed me giving a sweet kiss on my forehead.

Today morning while cleaning my room, when my mom mistakenly broke that bottle, which consumed not much liquid but fragrance of love in it, I felt sad.  Not because I can’t buy more perfume bottles but because that one contains lovely emotions and feelings.

I know it’s totally silly to dedicate this post to a little bottle of perfume, but gifts are not things. They hold the love endured in them, presented by a special hope that someone would be able to understand what we ought to express by gifting those things.

Dad I love you, for always bringing up such special gifts for me. Your gifts brings bundle of joy and happiness to my life, making moments memorable forever!
