Love is YOU

You walked into my life. I wished it be love between us.

You were standing closer to me. I sensed what love could be.

You filled my heart with desires. I knew I was being in love with you.

Your hand gripped to hold on me. I accepted being loved by you.

You popped the bubble around me. I realized I was dreaming of love.

You emptied my heart. I hoped I’d love you for that moment.

You again came to protect me. I loved those reasons in your eyes.

You couldn’t stop from expressing. I felt bliss in your love.

You pulled harder to embrace me. I had let you re-fill me with love.

Your love was making me mad. I desired to fall in love again over again.

You were holding my hand. I adored how your love taught me to blush.

You meant love to me.  I was becoming you, my love.

Your life played a roll over love. I forced my lips to curve into smile.

You told you are breaking us. I didn’t ask nor needed any justification.

I said what we did was not just love. You gazed into my eyes once.

You had hidden your tears. I wanted you to know I believed.

You couldn’t tell you still loved me. I wanted you to know, I knew that.

You went bringing distance in us. I had to leave with whatever we shared.

You got drenched in rain. I thought of us watching the rain.

You cried apology on sky. I was touched by gust of wind.

You weren’t there or near anymore. I knew love was forever, in our heart.

Your love happened for many reasons. I couldn’t let it end just for any reason.

You had decided to live without love. I searched you to live our love.

You happen to bump into me.“It’s just not love” I remembered my words.

Because whatever you and I did, was beyond love!

For you meant love to me.  I became you, my love.

Forsaken: love taken for granted

Sometimes we take love and relations for granted and Tanvi did the same mistake. She presumed nothing can separate them. Not even distance.

“You have no right to disrespect someone. “ She was harsh. She stood against her love, the love without whom her life was meaningless.

Her love was her brother Niket, her best companion. They had shared a complete life like the best of friends.

Niket, being a brother yet he had forever cared like a life partner. He was someone who completed her existence.

The girl who was fuming in anger, she wasn’t aware someday her love shall leave. All the years she had been selfish as he lived a life which was always about her, everything he did was surrounded by her happiness.

As her brother decided to leave and to begin to live his own life, that relates only him, the girl knew she couldn’t stop him. But she could not even thank him enough for giving a blessed dream-like-life.

Tanvi knew she had to let him go. She could not be anymore selfish to hold on him for own happiness. The happiness she never deserved because he had sacrificed so much throughout his life, only for her smile.

She accepted that it would be no more of him who’ll be sacrificing. This time, she’ll sacrifice. And she sacrificed her love, which was him, by letting him move on. She bid him bye with a smile.

She comforted herself by the thought that it was no separation but distance. She was happy for he and everyone else was happy with his decision.

Lately, She realized her life lost its reason and her only survival was her parents. She was never so close to her parents, like him. Having him by her side she never needed them much. But parents being parent, they had always been supportive in spite of her many faults.  She owes them and after him,  their happiness was her duty.

After long, today he was standing there in same house. She was supposed to be happy on meeting him. But her happiness was short lived when he reasoned he had come to raise a finger on their parent’s doings. He was under influence or misunderstood, she wanted to find the root cause.

“You have to trust for they care for you.” She said explaining him again over again.

The conversation went cold and it turned to be an argument, a huge one.

“If you can’t you may leave this house. “ She barked.

She was being rude and she knew was wrong to insult him. But she was playing the role of a daughter.

In her past, she had went against anyone to support her brother, even if that ever meant to disobey her parents. She loved him the most. But in her present, situation has changed.

She was alone and left with no option but to be against her own love. She ought to prove the sister wrong and the daughter right.

She had to ensure to support them, for they had forever cared so much for the person she loved the most, that was him, and she could not them down. Also she could not deny, it was them, who was mere reason he had entered her life once and gave her such beautiful memories.

Her words being said, she didn’t mean intentionally to hurt him but she happened to do that. She was ready for the punishment. But she didn’t know his reaction would be much harsh than the punishment.

He stood up to walk, leaving her dumbstruck. Her heart ached. Many thoughts rushed up in her mind raising the turmoil within her. Her parents objected and tried to stop him.

Her eyes met with him and she saw hatred in his eyes. She too hated herself.

She heard her mother devastatingly fell down. She saw her father in tears. They were hurt by his behavior. Every deed they did was in his concern and he was acting like strangers.

“I just wanted to let you know, your actions are destroying my new life” he spoke with no emotions.

She wanted to shout too loud and she even wanted to cry more loudly. The truth was reality had struck and she no more holds on the right on him.

She turned to calm herself.

Her trust on their bonding was broken as he left the house without even a single word. He didn’t care to tell or ask anything.

She heard her father worried. His brother was doing sick and he had left empty stomach. She wanted to run behind and search for him. She couldn’t. Her mother who had done that on her behalf too could not find him. His phone being disconnected and out of her reach. She lost him, she lost her answers she needed from him.

She realized she deserved none. He did right.

She was silly to assume worse can happen but it won’t affect them. They’ll be angry but won’t apart.

She had tended to change the situation by trying to explain him. But it was all in vain. She was no more a part of his new life.

She didn’t knew, he doesn’t need her or her complaint anymore. She didn’t know it was not him but life has affected their bonding. And it was better she change as the changed life demands her to accept the hard. She knew it was going to be tough.

She consoled her parents after getting to know about his whereabouts from someone else.

Her brother had taught her to be strong. She didn’t want to fall weak but she could not stop herself from crying silently in her pillow in the night hours. She cried not because it was hard to accept but because she couldn’t change her feelings. It still says, nothing else matters for she loves him.

Her beautiful Flame

The alarm rang and the girl woke up. She slowly opened her eyes and her brown eyes scanned the room. She moved a little to the side of bed, stretching her arms while her legs curled up inside the blanket. It was another random morning, when the girl felt happy to begin a new day. The girl sat straight resting her back on the pillow. She yawned a little, her fingers covering her O shape mouth. As her hands moved up to fix her hair while her eyes stopped at the calendar hanging on the front wall. She kept gazing and then rubbed her eyes.

The calendar said its mere few more days left from now. And it laughed. A child like, she threw her cushion on the wall making the calendar swing a little. Though it didn’t stop, it was still laughing. She felt irritated and she stood up thumping her foot hard on the floor. Watching the girl restless, her friend who had just entered the room, asked her concern. On stating the reason, he too laughed. The girl felt sad, all more sad. She reluctantly ignored him, and removed the calendar from its place. She abruptly tore it into pieces but still the voice was echoing from every different piece. She searched up for a place to chuck out them. Frustrated she could not find any. She went to other corner of room continuing her search and saw another him. She even complaint him feeling helpless, trying to settle down her anxiety.  He too had the same reaction- The same laughter. She glanced at him hard disappointed.

The noises were becoming louder and louder as the three of them kept on laughing. The girl ran away to find a dark room. She quickly went inside and sat down on floor hugging her knees closer to her chest. Her vision went blur out of her teary eyes. The girl touched her fingers onto her cheeks trying to wipe off those tears. Her action was interrupted with a shadow figure. She looked up to figure out. The room was lightened up. Oh, her love was standing there. A smile appeared on her lips and a shine was visible in her eyes. It was the shine emerging from the figure itself.

She saw next to her love, was standing those who were laughing at her previously. But for now, they too were giving a contended smile. She smiled back in return.

“Pretty as always” her mind thought as she watched ‘her’. She was her gorgeous love.

They said “I was a candle, she was my flame.” So right; when they burn me, she become the source of light. Indeed, she was a source of light for everyone else too. They were meant to jointly illuminate and diminish darkness.  But for the candle, its flame was its sole reason of existence. Without her flame, the candle seems useless.

The girl’s thoughts were intruded by the beauty of her love, as her eyes got transfixed in admiring her other half- Her flame. Yes, she belonged to her. The more she saw her, the more she felt proud to be hers.

Every candle has to melt completely someday and then the lightning flame does not remain hers anymore.

The realisation struck her and she knew those mocking laughter which now got extinguished in the shine of flame; before those meant that soon the day would come, when the candle will lose its flame. The flame would remain to exist but she will lighten up on another moulded candle to brighten another house.

The upset little girl, recalled the day when these laughing creatures had burnt her and she had readily accepted to be burnt seeing the magnificent her become hers. The journey all through was amazing. She smiled little and then a little more. Simply, every moment was as beautiful a memory as beautiful her presence has always been. Also the smile was a reason that the time is now, when the flame would shine at its extreme. The bond will grow stronger and sharper, and they would shine a lot more, together.

Yes, it’s going to a beautiful end of the journey for the candle and its flame. Yet they are inseparable. She will shine anywhere or maybe everywhere but her beauty will tell how once they had glowed as one.
